HOPE Calloway’s biggest community awareness and fundraiser event of the year is called “A Night on the Town.” A Night on the Town is an event that provides a powerful opportunity for our community to learn about homelessness, raise awareness for our friends without an address, and experience a bit of what it might be like to to live and sleep outside. “Box Dwellers” commit to spending 5 hours outside in a cardboard box. Box Dwellers come from all walks of life: local government leaders, police officers, pastors, business leaders, students, grandmas and grandpas, moms and dads. Each box dweller is given a fundraising challenge to help HOPE Calloway continue doing all we do to help our community throughout the year.
One of our own will be participating this year in the event, Susan Hager.
Susan is doing something amazing in Murray for HOPE Calloway! “I was born and raised in Murray, KY and am thankful to be able to join in this fundraising event to serve those in need.”
HOPE Calloway provides a comprehensive approach to tackling homelessness in the community. They uncover the reasons individuals fall into a distressed state and connect them to the right service and support to get back on their feet again. By narrowing in on four key areas, HOPE Calloway is helping more people out of the cycle of homelessness and onto a path of a stable, healthy life.
