From 4:00 to 9:00 P.M., you’re invited to Westport Road – which will be closed from Chenoweth Lane to St. Matthews Ave. – for an evening built entirely around fun, local families, and our fabulous community. This isn’t just an average summer event. It’s your chance to kick off the Independence Day holiday weekend with attractions everyone can enjoy.

Start your evening cheering on the Little Patriot Fun Run – then stick around for the fire truck splash pad at the finish (yes, you’ll want to bring the kids… and maybe a towel). From there, it’s all yours to explore. You can stroll through dozens of craft and retail booths, grab something delicious from local food vendors, and enjoy a cold drink in the beer garden while live music keeps the energy going all evening.

If you bring along the kids, you already know where to go: the Family Fun Zone, where there will be inflatables, giant games, and nonstop action. You can climb through trucks at Touch a Truck, check out custom cars up close at Independence Bank, or get a look at real military vehicles that are sure to impress.

But here’s what makes it even better: when you show up, you’re giving back. Every net dollar raised goes directly to support local first responders, benefiting both the St Matthews Fire & Rescue Benevolence Fund and Foundation 31 – benefiting the St. Matthews Police. So please bring your family and your friends. Stay the whole evening.
