OWENSBORO, Ky. – Independence Bank is excited to announce a series of strategic leadership changes that strengthen our commitment to the people and communities we serve across the Commonwealth. The following moves reflect developing talent within our organization and strengthening our commitment to western Kentucky.
New Daviess County Market President Kevin Kauffeld has served as McCracken County Market President since 2019 when he joined Independence Bank. He previously worked for the Catholic Diocese of Owensboro for 18 years, with eight of those years as Chancellor. A Brescia University alum, Kauffeld will return to the place where he raised his family to continue successful relationship building while strengthening the mission of our community bank with a deep appreciation for helping small businesses and families.
McCracken County Market President Scott Johnston has nearly 40 years in banking. He joined the Bank in 2010 and previously served as Vice President and Senior Lending Officer in McCracken County. He’s specialized in taking care of his clients with Independence Bank’s customer first philosophy.
“These changes reflect not only the strength of our team, but also our commitment to the communities we serve,” said Bank President Phil Riney. “We’re proud to see these two leaders step into roles where they will continue to make a meaningful difference for businesses, families and nonprofits.”
Nick Oller has been a long-standing leader in Daviess County since joining the Bank in 2003. He has succeeded in multiple management roles over the last two decades most recently serving as Daviess County Market President. Oller will now transition into a Senior Retail Lending role for the Bank.
New McCracken County Senior Lender Drew Hulette has nearly three decades of banking experience across western Kentucky; he is known for his expertise and dedication. Hulette joined the Bank as a Commercial Loan Officer in 2022.
