Metro United Way has officially introduced Louis R. Straub II as campaign chair and Rudy Spencer as campaign co-chair for the 2018 community campaign. Metro United Way’s annual campaign fuels their investment into the community to improve lives and the community by supporting Metro United Way’s fight for the education, financial independence and health of every person. Last year alone, Metro United Way’s support helped improve the lives of nearly 260,000 people in the region through more than 150 programs. It recently celebrated a more than $21.2 million investment in the community based on last year’s 100th Anniversary campaign.
Louis is president of Independence Bank and a lifelong resident of Louisville. He expertise is in traditional commercial lending and the government, healthcare, higher-education and not-for-profit industries. In addition to his work in the banking industry, Louis is also an adjunct faculty member for the University of Louisville and Jefferson Community College.
Rudy is the administration manager for Valiant Construction LLC. A Louisville native and graduate of the University of Louisville and University of Michigan, he is dedicated to community investment strategies. He serves as co-chair of Metro United Way’s Tocqueville Society’s Emerging Committee and is one of the founders of Give502.
