Independence Bank to build its second Habitat for Humanity House

February 2010 - Independence Bank partnered with the Henderson County Habitat for Humanity announcing its plans to build its second Habitat House at 837 Clay Street in Henderson, Kentucky. The first house was built in Daviess County and the Bank's plan is to build 7 houses in 7 years within our 7 county areas. This project is not the responsibility of the crew leaders hired through Habitat, but our very own employees will be donating their time, sweat and hard work to see this house through start to finish.
The build will be centered around energy efficient building methods. The "Green Team" plans to start construction early April and the dedication ceremony will be around the Fourth of July 2010. This is yet another example of how Independence Bank is in a leader in the Banking Revolution as it supports its community and gives one local family a place to call home.
