Independence Bank to award scholarship money to local high school seniors 10th year in a row

From 2001 to 2009, Independence Bank has awarded $197,000 to local high school seniors within the seven counties it serves and is now offering $27,250 in 2010! The Independence Bank scholarship program is designed to encourage high school seniors in Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, McCracken, Warren and Webster County to continue their education. Applicants are judged based on their financial need, grades, ACT/SAT scores, written essay and personal interviews.

Applications have been mailed to all local high schools and should be returned to Independence Bank no later than March 26th. If you are a high school senior interested in continuing your education or would like more information about the Independence Bank scholarship program, please visit your high school guidance counselor or your nearest Independence Bank location to pick up your application.
