February 17, 2010 - Independence Bank has been notified of an email phishing scam targeted at our Online Banking users in our area. The email asks the recipient to change their expired online banking password.

Independence Bank would NEVER ask you to provide personal information through an email and would NEVER initiate a password change other than when the customer is logged into our secure online banking site.
